T-Mobile USA teased their fans through Twitter by announcing a big news that later this Summer, T-Mobile will unveil it’s first ever HSPA+ device, and more details will be available in the coming weeks (or probably in August). That’s a very exciting news for all T-Mobile customers.

India recently unveiled a prototype of a $35 touchscreen tablet computer which they plan to mass produce next year. The total cost? $35. The tablet pc will run on Linux, has no internal storage but can store data via memory card. It also has a built-in word processor, video conferencing capabilities, a web browser and last but not least, it can also run on solar power.

Global smartphone shipments rose 43 percent annually to a record 60 million units during the second quarter, according to new figures from Strategy Analytics. The research firm credited “healthy operator subsidies, vigorous competition between premium-tier vendors and a growing range of lower-cost models” for the strong growth in the segment.

Former Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein, now with HP, mentioned in an interview with Fortune that webOS 2.0 is slated for “later this year”. Rubinstein added that they’re developing new hardware “aggressively”. With HP merged with webOS 2.0, we might see devices by Christmas.

The Nokia N900 and the Apple iPhone 4 can be considered as the flagship devices of their respective manufacturers.
Both the devices could not be any more different. The Nokia runs on the Maemo 5 OS while the Apple uses its own Apple 4 OS. The iPhone 4 comes in 16 GB and 32 GB variants whilst the N900 comes in only the 32 GB size. There is a 5-megapixel camera on both phones.
