Announced about half a year agone, the Sony Ericsson Aspen, a.k.a. the Faith, has at last hot our shores. The 1st to accompany Windows Mobile 6.5.3, which is essentially the finger-friendly version of the 6.5 version. It is a business-centric candy bar phone.

I’ve identified one thing about HTC smartphones. Occasionally they are spot on about making genuinely impressive product and sometimes they come out with a product that might not be as popular as its other siblings. Wyncomm who recently entered the crowded Indian mobile handset market has launched Y-45 phone equipped with Hindi QWERTY keyboard. The Y-45 is India’s first phone to have a Hindi QWERTY keyboard, enabling faster typing of India’s official language.

Motorola has unveiled new Android devices for the Chinese market. The new devices belong to the MING Series that was created in 2006 specially for Chinese consumers with Chinese handwriting support. Three new phones announced today feature an improved MING flip design and the reminiscent transparent flip cover.

Samsung is bolstering its bada OS with the introduction of Wave 723 (GT-S7320E) handset. Just like all bada handsets, this one’s also a touchscreen phone but is inferiorly spec’d when you compare it with the maiden bada handset aka the Wave (S8500).

The new music phone from the Nokia stable, Nokia 5250 is all set to replace the popular Nokia 5230 music phone. After the phone made a mysterious appearance online, the Finnish phone maker has officially announced the launch of the budget smart phone based on the Symbian S60 V5 platform. The phone will be priced very competitively at just €115 (Around Rs 7,000), when it launches in the 4th quarter.

Walkman phones have always been targeted at the youthful generation, seeing as there are the one who can’t seem to get enough of modern music. Yes, I’m guilty as charged, but that not the point. What important is that the Zylo is a Walkman 4.0 phone and looks kind of ‘Stylo-Milo’ too.

Handset major Sony Ericsson announced three new mobile phones, including an entry level 3G handset. The company unveiled the Xperia-X8 entertainment smartphone based on the Android platform, besides Cedar, a basic entry level 3G enabled handset and Yendo, a touch screen walkman phone.

People who own the older Corby were left disappointed because the excellently priced and great performing phone did not even feature an on-screen QWERTY. With so many Indian players offering touchscreen + alphanumeric keypad phones, Nokia’s decision to go with a similar design is not very surprising. Nokia has announced its first ever candybar device that comes with a 2.4-inch touchscreen display and also a 12-key alphanumeric keypad.
