Microsoft officially announced Windows Phone 7 – its next generation mobile phone OS at a media event earlier today.
Microsoft also displayed 9 latest Windows Phone 7 handsets that will ship by the holiday season to at eventually join the smartphone race and tackle Android smartphones, RIM’s BlackBerry and Apple’s iPhone.

New HTC Windows Phone 7 Phones Spotted
Two brand new HTC handsets have been spotted in the wild by an eagle eyed Twitter user. The phones, allegedly known as the HTC Mondrian and the Mozart, will run in Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7. HTC has already confirmed one of the devices to be in the pipeline – albeit not officially. References of the Mondrian were found on the HTC website here.
